Alwaysahead. —Headquarters Paladina, 1970. 1960 1970 Where itall began Emilio Bombassei and Italo Breda founded Brembo near Bergamo in 1961, creating Italy’s first disc brake factory. It started out with just 28 employees, but the company demonstrated a real desire to grow and innovate, in both the use of materials and manufacturing processes. Innovation Research and development were the bywords that in 1970 led us to design the first motorcycle caliper.
